Presumably, the XDC variety wasn’t up to par. Cinepolis announced that it has plans to expand, but not in Latin America. The company plans to build 500 screens over the next few years in India. Cinepolis ranks itself as the 5th largest exhibitor in the world, with 222 sites. Carmike, which ranks number 4 in the US by comparison, has 262 sites.
