King County Superior Court ordered AMC to install Closed Captions in its local cinemas, which include the cities of Seattle and Bellevue. The basis of the decision was on Washington State law, not the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

Although it finally made it to the press (not to mention this publication), it was announced at CineEurope that Norway‘s last digital cinema conversion had taken place. The first country to fully convert! Ahh, but can they support high frame rates?

Michael Bay‘s efforts to promote quality presentations of the 3-D version of Transformers Dark of the Moon was worth it. It was reported that 60% of domestic box office came from 3-D sales, and 70% overseas.

Marcus Theatres, the sixth largest circuit in the US, signed up with Cinedigm to roll out digital cinema to 630 screens.
