Marcus Theatres is on track to convert 630 of its 685 screens by the end of September, in a whirlwind 2-month rollout. NEC and Doremi are supplying projectors and IMB/servers. Ballantyne Strong is providing installation, maintenance, and NOC services.

XPAND, Panasonic Corporation, Samsung Electronics, and Sony Corporation are collaborating as the “Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative” to define a new technology standard for consumer 3D active glasses.

Screenvision, led by former DCIP CEO Travis Reid, will acquire cinema advertising company UniqueScreen Media from Cinedigm, reversing a purchase that Cinedigm made in July 2006.
