  • There have been many heroic efforts to install digital cinema, but applause is due Marcus Theatres and suppliers Ballantyne, Cinedigm, Doremi, and NEC for converting its circuit of 630 screens 6 weeks after announcing the deal.
  • In a move that will strengthen its position in cinema advertising, Arts Alliance Media acquired a controlling interest in Nordic Digital Alliance.
  • Well, we’re a little late to the party, as we failed to note in June that Canadian exhibitors Cineplex and Empire closed financing through their joint venture Canadian Digital Cinema Partnership (CDCP) for a combined 1700 screen rollout. Congrats to Cineplex and Empire!
